Section 1: Editorial Board Organizational Structure and Purpose

1) ÇÐȸ¿¡¼­ ¹ßÇàÇÏ´Â ÇÐȸÁö Shakespeare ReviewÀÇ ÆíÁý°ú ÃâÆÇ¿¡ ÇÊ¿äÇÑ ¾÷¹«¸¦ ´ã´çÇϱâ À§ÇÏ¿© ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÈ¸¸¦ ¼³Ä¡, ¿î¿µÇÑ´Ù.

The Editorial Board is charged with managing the work necessary to edit and publish the Association¡¯s journal, Shakespeare Review.

2) ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÈ¸´Â ȸĢ Á¦ 8Á¶¿¡ µû¶ó ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÀå°ú ÆíÁýÀ§¿øµé·Î ±¸¼ºÇÑ´Ù.

In accordance with Article 8 of the By-laws, the Editorial Board is composed of the Editor in Chief and other editors.

3) ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÈ¸ÀÇ ¿øÈ°ÇÑ ¼öÇàÀ» À§ÇØ ÆíÁýÀ§¿ø Áß °£»ç¸¦ µÑ ¼ö ÀÖ´Ù.

In order to facilitate operations, an administrative assistant may be hired.

4) ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÈ¸´Â ±¹Á¦ ƯÁýÈ£ ¹ß°£À» À§ÇØ ±¹Á¦ ƯÁýÈ£ ÆíÁýÀ§¿ø°ú Ã¥ÀÓÆíÁýÀÎÀ» º°µµ·Î À§ÃËÇÒ ¼ö ÀÖ´Ù.

For the purpose of publishing a Special International Issue, the Editorial Board may separately appoint a Special Issue Editorial Board and editors.

Á¦2Ç× ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÈ¸ÀÇ ±â´É

Section 2. The Editorial Board¡¯s Functions

1) ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÈ¸´Â ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÀåÀÌ ¼ÒÁýÇÏ¸ç ´ÙÀ½ »çÇ×À» ½ÉÀÇÇÏ°í °áÁ¤ÇÑ´Ù.

The Editor in Chief will convene the Editorial Board to consider and decide upon the following matters:

(3) ³í¹® Åõ°í ¹× ½É»ç ±âÁØ, ±×¸®°í ÇмúÁö ÃâÆÇ °ü·Ã ±ÔÁ¤ÀÇ °³Á¤

Reviewing submission and review standards, as well as rules related to publishing the journal

2) ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÈ¸ÀÇ ÀǰáÀº Âü¿©ÀÚ °ú¹Ý¼öÀÇ Âù¼ºÀ» ¿øÄ¢À¸·Î Çϸç, ¿Â¶óÀÎ ÀÇ»ç°áÁ¤µµ ÀÌ¿¡ ÁØÇÑ´Ù.

Decisions by the Editorial Board will be based on majority rule, including decisions made by online voting.

3) ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÈ¸´Â ÇмúÁö ¹ß°£ ½Ã±â¿¡ ¸ÂÃç Á¤±âÀûÀ¸·Î ¼ÒÁýµÈ´Ù.

The Editorial Board will be convened regularly in accordance with the publication schedule of the journal.

4) ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÈ¸´Â ÇÐȸÁöÀÇ ÁúÀû ¼öÁØ, ±¹Á¦È­, »çȸÀû ±â¿©µµ¸¦ Çâ»óÇϱâ À§ÇÑ Àå´Ü±â °èȹÀ» ¼ö¸³Çϰí ÃßÁø ÇÑ´Ù

The Editorial Board will establish and pursue plans that promote the journal¡¯s standards, global reach, and contributions to society.

Á¦3Ç× ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÈ¸ ±¸¼º¿øÀÇ ÀÓ¹«

Section 3. Duties of the Editorial Board Members

1) ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÀåÀº ÇÐȸÁö Shakespeare ReviewÀÇ ÆíÁý°ú ÃâÆÇ¿¡ °ü·ÃµÈ Á¦¹Ý ¾÷¹«¸¦ ÃѰý Á¶Á¤ÇÏ°í ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÈ¸ÀÇ ¿øÈ°ÇÑ ¿î¿µÀ» µµ¸ðÇÑ´Ù.

The Editor in Chief will oversee the various aspects of the work involved in editing and publishing Shakespeare Review, and will work to ensure the Editorial Board operates smoothly.

2) ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÀåÀº °¢ ³í¹®ÀÇ ½É»çÀ§¿øÀ» Ãßõ ¹Þ¾Æ ÇØ´ç ³í¹®¿¡ ´ëÇÑ 3ÀÎÀÇ ½É»çÀ§¿øÈ¸¸¦ ±¸¼ºÇÏ¿© ±ÔÁ¤¿¡ µû¶ó ½É»ç¸¦ ÁøÇàÇÏ°í °ü¸®ÇÑ´Ù.

For each submission, the Editor in Chief will form a review panel of three persons based on recommendations and manage the review process according to established protocols.

3) ƯÁýÈ£¸¦ ±âȹÇÒ °æ¿ì ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÀåÀº ÆíÁýÀ§¿ø °ú¹Ý¼öÀÇ µ¿ÀǸ¦ ¾ò¾î ¿¹Á¤ ¹ß°£ÀÏ 4°³¿ù Àü¿¡ ÇÐȸÀÇ ÀÌ»çȸ¿¡ º¸°í ÇÑ´Ù.

If a special issue is planned, the Editor in Chief must receive approval from a majority of the Editorial Board and inform the Advisory Board of the decision at least 4 months before the planned date of publication.

4) ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÀº ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÀåÀÇ ¿äû¿¡ µû¶ó ³í¹®½É»çÀ§¿øÀ» ÃßõÇϰí À§ÀÓ¹ÞÀº ³í¹®¿¡ ´ëÇÑ ½É»ç¸¦ ¼öÇàÇÑ´Ù.

In accordance with the Editor in Chief¡¯s requests, members of the Editorial Board will recommend reviewers for submissions and carry out reviews for manuscripts they have been assigned.

5) ÆíÁýÀÌ»ç´Â ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÈ¸¿¡¼­ ÀǰáµÈ »çÇ×À» ½ÃÇà, ó¸®ÇÏ´Â ½Ç¹«¾÷¹«¸¦ ´ã´çÇÑ´Ù.

The Executive Director will perform the practical duties required to execute the decisions of the Editorial Board.

6) ÆíÁý°£»ç´Â ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÈ¸ÀÇ ¹®¼­ ¼ö¹ß°ú ÇÐȸÁö ÆíÁýÀÇ ½Ç¹«¸¦ µ½´Â´Ù.

The Editorial assistant will assist with the practical matters related to the collection of manuscripts and the editing of the journal.

For manuscripts that have been accepted for publication, a prescribed publishing fee (regular essays: 200,000 Won; essays that have received research funding: 300,000 Won) must be submitted to the Accounting Officer and confirmed by email. Acceptance can be revoked for non-payment.

4. ³í¹® ºÐ·®Àº 20¸é ³»¿Ü·Î Çϸç 20¸é Ãʰú½Ã ¸é´ç 15,000¿øÀ» Ãß°¡ ºÎ´ãÇÑ´Ù. Ãʰú¸é¼ö´Â ÃÖÁ¾ ÃâÆÇÆíÁý ÈÄ Å뺸ÇÑ´Ù.

The page limit for each essay is 20 pages, with a fee of 15,000 Won for each additional page. The exact number of additional pages will be determined and communicated after the editing process has been fully completed.

5. Á¦ÃâµÈ ³í¹®ÀÌ ÃÖÁ¾ ½É»ç¿¡ Åë°úÇÏ¿© Shakespeare Review¿¡ °ÔÀçµÇ¸é ±× ³í¹®ÀÇ ÀúÀÛ±ÇÀº Çѱ¹¼ÎÀͽºÇǾîÇÐȸ¿¡ ¼Ó ÇÑ´Ù. The copyrights to essays that have been accepted and published in Shakespeare Review will belong to The Shakespeare Association of Korea.

Manuscript Review Guidelines

1. ÆíÁý°£»ç´Â Åõ°í ³í¹®ÀÌ µµÂøÇÏ´Â Áï½Ã Á¢¼ö´ëÀå¿¡ Åõ°í ÀÏÀÚ¸¦ ¸í±âÇϰí Åõ°íÀÚ¿¡°Ô Á¢¼ö¸¦ È®ÀÎÇØ ÁØ´Ù. ´Ü, º» ÇРȸÀÇ ³í¹® Åõ°í ¹æ¹ý ¹× ¿ø°í ÀÛ¼º¿ä·É¿¡ µû¸£Áö ¾Ê´Â ³í¹®Àº Á¢¼öÇÏÁö ¾Ê°í ¹Ý¼ÛÇÑ´Ù.

Upon receipt of the manuscript, the Editorial Assistant will record the date of the submission and send receipt confirmation to the author.

2. ¿ø°í´Â Á¢¼ö ¼ø¼­¿¡ ÀÇÇØ¼­ ½É»ç Åë°ú ÈÄ °ÔÀçÇÑ´Ù.

Manuscripts will be reviewed for publication in the order in which they were received.

3. ½É»ç´Â ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÀåÀÌ ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÀÇ ÃßõÀ» ¹Þ¾Æ ÇмúȰµ¿ÀÌ ¿ì¼öÇÑ 3ÀÎÀÇ Àü°øÇÐÀÚ¿¡°Ô À§ÃËÇϸç ÇмúÁö Åõ°í ³í¹®ÀÇ ½É»çÀ§¿ø À§ÃË ¹× ½É»ç °úÁ¤Àº ºñ°ø°³·Î ÁøÇàÇÑ´Ù.

Manuscript review will be conducted by three (3) specialists who have been chosen by the Editor in Chief in consultation with the Editorial Board. All deliberations related to the review will be kept confidential.

4. ½É»ç °á°ú´Â ¿ø°í Á¦ÃâÀϷκÎÅÍ 30ÀÏ À̳»¿¡ Åõ°íÀÚ¿¡°Ô ÅëÁöÇÑ´Ù.

The result of the review will be communicated to the author within 30 days of the manuscript¡¯s receipt.

5. 3ÀÎÀÇ ½É»çÀ§¿ø Áß 2ÀÎ ÀÌ»óÀÌ °ÔÀç¿¡ µ¿ÀÇÇÒ °æ¿ì ½É»ç¿¡ Åë°úÇÑ °ÍÀ¸·Î °£ÁÖÇÑ´Ù.

Submissions that receive recommendations for publication from at least 2 of the 3 reviewers will have been deemed to have passed review.

6. °ÔÀç ºÎÀûÇÕ ÆÇÁ¤À» ¹ÞÀº ³í¹®Àº º¸¿ÏÇÏ¿© Àç Åõ°íÇÒ ¼ö ÀÖ´Ù.

Rejected manuscripts can be revised and resubmitted for consideration.

7. ³í¹®°ÔÀç´Â ȸ¿ø 1ÀÎ´ç ¿¬ 2ȸ¿¡ ÇÑÇÑ´Ù.

Submissions are limited to 2 per member per year.

8. Shakespeare Review´Â ¿¬ 3ȸ ¹ßÇàÇÏ¸ç ¹ßÇà ¿¹Á¤ÀÏÀº ¸Å³â 2¿ù 28ÀÏ, 6¿ù 30ÀÏ, 10¿ù 31ÀÏ·Î ÇÑ´Ù. ÀÌ¿¡ µû¶ó °¢ È£º° Åõ°í ¸¶°¨ÀÏÀº 1¿ù 10ÀÏ, 5¿ù 10ÀÏ, 9¿ù 10 ÀÏÀ» ¿øÄ¢À¸·Î ÇÑ´Ù. Åõ°í ¸¶°¨ÀÏ ÀÌÈÄ¿¡µµ ¹ßÇàÀÏ 5ÁÖ Àü±îÁö(°¢°¢ 1¿ù 24ÀÏ, 5¿ù 26ÀÏ, 9¿ù 26ÀÏ)±îÁö ¼ö½ÃÅõ°í°¡ °¡´ÉÇÏ´Ù. ´Ü, ¼ö½ÃÅõ°í ³í¹®Àº °ÔÀç°¡ ÆÇÁ¤À» ¹Þ´õ¶óµµ ÇÐȸÁö ÆíÁý »çÁ¤¿¡ µû¶ó ´ÙÀ½ È£·Î ÀÌ¿ù °ÔÀç µÉ ¼ö ÀÖ´Ù. ±¹Á¦ ƯÁýÈ£ÀÇ °æ¿ì´Â º°µµÀÇ ÀÏÁ¤¿¡ µû¶ó Ãâ°£ ÇÑ´Ù.

Shakespeare Review is published Three times a year as follows: February 28, June 30, October 31. Accordingly, the deadlines for manuscript submission are: January 10, May 10, September 10. After the deadline, it is still possible to submit manuscripts up to five weeks before (i.e., January 24, May 26, September 26) the scheduled publication dates. However, even for manuscripts that receive approval for publication, it is possible that, depending on circumstances, they may be included in the subsequent issue. Special International Issues will follow a separate schedule.

Depending on the essay, authorship will be recorded to differentiate single and multiple authors.

10. °ÔÀç ³í¹®º°·Î ¸¶Áö¸·¿¡ ÀúÀÚÀÇ ¼Ò¼Ó, ÁÖ¼Ò, À̸ÞÀÏ µîÀ» ¸í±âÇÑ´Ù.

At the end of each published essay, the author¡¯s affiliation, address, email, etc. will be recorded.

11. ½É»çÀ§¿øÀÇ Àü±¹¼º°ú Àü¹®¼ºÀ» °í·ÁÇÏ¿© ½É»çÀ§¿ø Ç®(Pool) Á¦µµ¸¦ ¿î¿µÇÏ¸ç ½É»çÀ§¿ø Ç®Àº ÇÐȸ ÀÓ¿øÀ» Æ÷ÇÔ Çмú Ȱµ¿ÀÌ ¿ì¼öÇÑ Àü°øÇÐÀÚµé·Î ÇÑ´Ù.

Reviewers will be chosen from a pool of distinguished specialists, taking into consideration both regional representation and field of specialty, and will include Association members.

12. ¿Ü±¹ÀÎ ±³¼ö¸¦ ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÀ¸·Î À§ÃËÇÏ¿© ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÈ¸ ±¸¼ºÀ» È®´ëÇÏ°í ¿î¿µÀ» Â÷º°È­ÇÑ´Ù.

Foreign scholars will be enlisted to expand the Editorial Board and diversify operations.

13. ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÈ¸´Â Á¢¼öµÈ ³í¹®¿¡ ´ëÇØ ½É»çÀÇ·Ú¼­¸¦ ÀÛ¼ºÇØ, ÇØ´ç ½É»çÀ§¿ø¿¡°Ô ½É»ç´ë»ó ³í¹®°ú ³í¹® ½É»ç¼­ ¾ç½ÄÀ» À̸ÞÀÏ·Î ¹ß¼ÛÇÑ´Ù. ÇØ´ç ½É»çÀ§¿øÀº ½É»ç °á°ú¸¦ ÁöÁ¤µÈ ±âÀÏ ³»¿¡ ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÈ¸¿¡ À̸ÞÀÏÀ¸·Î ȸ½ÅÇÑ´Ù.

The Editorial Board will prepare a Review Form for the submitted manuscript, and send to the reviewer through email the manuscript and instructions for completing the Form. The assigned reviewer will submit the results of the review by email to the Review Board.

14.½É»çÀ§¿øÀÇ ÀÍ¸í¼ºÀ» °í·ÁÇÏ¿© ¼º¸í ´ë½Å °íÀ¯¹øÈ£¸¦ ºÎ¿©ÇÑ´Ù.

In order to ensure anonymity for the reviewer, a number will be assigned to the reviewer instead of the name.

15. ½É»çÀÇ °øÁ¤¼ºÀ» À¯ÁöÇϱâ À§ÇØ Åõ°íÀÚÀÇ ¼º¸í°ú ¼Ò¼ÓÀÌ ½É»çÀ§¿ø¿¡°Ô ¾Ë·ÁÁöÁö ¾Êµµ·Ï ÇÑ´Ù. ¿¬±¸ºñ ¼öÇý »ç½ÇÀº ½É»ç´ë»ó ³í¹®¿¡ ¸í±âÇÏÁö ¾Ê°í °ÔÀç°¡ °áÁ¤µÈ ÈÄ ±³Á¤Áö¿¡ ÷°¡ÇÑ´Ù.

In order to ensure fairness, the manuscript author¡¯s name and affiliation will not be made known to the reviewer. Details regarding research funding will not be recorded on the manuscript and will only be added during the editing process after acceptance for publication.

16.°ÔÀç°¡ È®Á¤µÇ¾î ÀúÀÚ°¡ ¼öÁ¤ÇÑ ³í¹®Àº ÆíÁýȸÀÇ¿¡¼­ 1Â÷ ±³Á¤Çϰí ÀúÀÚ°¡ 2Â÷(ÃÖÁ¾) ±³Á¤ÇÑ´Ù. ³»¿ëÀÇ ±³Á¤Àº ÀúÀÚ Ã¥ÀÓÀÇ ¿øÄ¢À» Àû¿ëÇÑ´Ù.

Revisions to essays that are accepted for publication will go through a two-step revision process, with the first edits performed by the Editorial Board and the second (final) edits performed by the author. Revisions to content will assumed to be the responsibility of the author.

17. ¼öÁ¤ ÈÄ °ÔÀçÀÇ ÆÇÁ¤À» ¹ÞÀº ¿ø°í Á¦ÃâÀÚ´Â ½É»çÀ§¿øÀÌ Á¦¾ÈÇÑ ¿ø°íÀÇ ¼öÁ¤ ¹× °¡ÇÊ¿¡ ÀÀÇÏ¿© ¼öÁ¤ÇÏ¿©¾ß Çϸç, ³í¹® ¼öÁ¤º»°ú ¼öÁ¤°á°úº¸°í¼­¸¦ ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÈ¸¿¡ ¹ß¼ÛÇÑ´Ù. ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÈ¸´Â ¼öÁ¤°á°úº¸°í¼­¸¦ ÅëÇØ ¼öÁ¤ÇÑ »ç½ÇÀ» È®ÀÎÇÏ µµ·Ï ÇÑ´Ù. Åõ°íÀÚ°¡ ¼öÁ¤ ¿ä±¸¿¡ ÀÀ´äÇÏÁö ¾Ê°Å³ª °ÅºÎÇÑ °æ¿ì ÆíÁýÀ§¿øÈ¸´Â ÇØ´ç ³í¹®ÀÇ °ÔÀ縦 öȸÇÒ ¼ö ÀÖ´Ù.

Authors who receive acceptances contingent upon revision must agree to the revisions and edits proposed by the reviewer, and send the revised manuscript and a report of revisions to the Editorial Board. The Board will use the report to confirm that revisions have been made. If the author does not respond to or rejects the request for revisions, the Board retains the right to rescind the acceptance.

The length of the essay, at the time of type-setting, should be within 20 pages (for 200-character Korean manuscript paper, 120 pages; for English, 5,000-7,000 words), inclusive of references and the abstract. The font should be standard with the title in 16-point (bold) and the body in 10-point size. Only the title should be in bold.

Section headings in the essay should use roman numerals.
