For
quotations of longer than two lines, use block quotations, with a line of spacing below and above the quotation. Following the MLA Manual of Style, quotations should be indented 10 spaces from the left with the first letter appearing in the 11th space. The first line of a block quotation never needs to be further indented, but in the case in which the quotation contains two or more paragraphs, from the second paragraph, the first line should be indented two spaces. Quotations should
be in 9-point, which is smaller than the type size of the body.

Following
the MLA Manual, ellipses are indicated by ¡¦ that is, without parentheses, the three periods are separated by one space. Within sentences, the ellipses are preceded and
followed by one space each. At the end of the sentence, no space is required between the final word and the first period, but a final period (the fourth) must be added. If a citation within parentheses occurs at the end of a sentence that ends with ellipses, then the final period goes after the parentheses. If more than one line is omitted, a series of periods equal to the length of the line is added.
